SEHS said a fond farewell to one of its longest-standing staff members this week after more than 17 years of service.
Margaret Stevens started working at Salisbury East High School's canteen as a kitchenhand in 1999 and eventually became its manager.
She has always greeted students and staff with a happy smile each and every day and will be sorely missed by all those who have been served by her.
"I have got to know all the staff and students at SEHS over the years so I will miss them very much," said Margaret. "I'm sure we will cross paths again but I want to thank everyone for always making me feel welcome and for their custom.
"It was not an easy decision to make but I am looking forward to starting a new challenge in my career."
Acting School Principal Steve Clark said a farewell to Margaret at a special morning staff meeting and presented her with a gift.
He said: "Margaret has been a great resource for teachers, students and special guests throughout her time at SEHS.
"Always unflappable, she often responded to last-minute requests for morning teas and lunches, and always delivered on time.
"She will be missed but we wish her all the best in her new venture."
