This year has been a very busy one for the Concert Band.
They have performed at 100-Year Anzac Celebrations, The Balakalava Eisteddfod, MAD Night and then finished the year with a tour of the Riverland from the December 1st to 4th.
The band stayed at Renmark High School and played at all of the schools in the area. They also played in towns while travelling to and from Renmark, and performed no less than nine gigs that week.
The audiences loved them and Year 12 student Dylan Rout now has a ‘fan club’ in the Riverland.
Leader of the tour, Edgell Zajac, said: "It was great to hear their performances improve every time, as by the end of the week they had ‘practised’ for up to nine hours!".
Just before they left for the Riverland, the band discussed performing in the Mid North Bushfire affected towns and so, after returning to Adelaide and having a break, they went out on Tuesday the 8th and played at three schools - Hamley Bridge, Wasleys and Mallala - where they again captivated their audiences and entertained excellently.
Mr Zajac added: "It was a great tour to end a busy year that finished with some very tired, but happy, and more musically experienced students, who I am very proud of."
