Mrs Sue Shepherd, School Principal

It gives me enormous pleasure to warmly welcome you to Salisbury East High School, a leading secondary school in Northern Adelaide.

Providing a world-class, personalised learning experience within a safe and friendly environment is key to our success. We benefit from the diversity of our school community and take seriously our commitment to actively support students of all abilities and aspirations to achieve success within a range of pathway offerings.

Everyone has a place at Salisbury East High School with our motto of ‘learning together, achieving together’ encapsulating much about our school culture.

We believe that student wellbeing underpins academic success and, as such, have a focus on belonging and connection through our mentoring program as well as offering an extensive range of house competitions and extra-curricular activities, including our award-winning robotics program.

Guided by our school values of respect, responsibility and resilience, we’re committed to building quality relationships with and getting to know each student, as well as valuing their individual qualities. Programs such as Youth Opportunities, Raise Mentoring and Healthy Minds support students’ holistic development.

We’re committed to continuous improvement and have seen a marked rise in South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) results in the past five years. Recent graduates from Salisbury East High School are currently enrolled in a wide range of highly competitive university courses, as well as undertaking apprenticeships and traineeships in a diverse range of industries.
