At Salisbury East High School, students and families have access to a wide range of digital tools that support learning, communication, creativity and organisation.
As a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school, we encourage families to provide students with a suitable laptop for school use. Students are expected to bring their device to every lesson, fully charged and ready for learning. We strongly recommend purchasing through the school’s BYOD portal, where families can access devices selected to meet educational needs, along with educational pricing, warranty options and pre-installed security software. We understand that not every family is able to provide a device. Salisbury East High School offers a laptop loan program to support equitable access to learning. Priority access is available for eligible School Card families, and devices are provided with school-approved software, technical support and security protections.
Students can access a range of software and online services through the Student Intranet, including Microsoft Office, Daymap, Adobe Creative Cloud, the Google Education Suite, and Canva. The Student Intranet (https://my.sehs.sa.edu.au/) provides quick access to the applications and resources students need for their classes and learning.
Daymap is our learning and student management system and is used for subject timetables, teacher notes and attendance. Families can also access the Daymap Companion Parent Portal via browser or mobile app to view important school information including attendance, report cards, timetables, messages, events and excursions.

We also use Google Classroom to support teaching and learning. Google Classroom allows teachers to distribute learning, share resources, manage assignments and provide feedback, while supporting student collaboration both at school and at home. Families can also receive Google Classroom Parent/Guardian summaries to stay informed about upcoming or missing work, class announcements and class activity.
Students and teachers also have access to Gemini for Education within Google Workspace for Education. This tool supports classroom learning by helping students brainstorm ideas, clarify instructions, summarise information and improve their work, while complementing teacher guidance and independent thinking.
Additional digital tools such as Canva support creativity and digital literacy through presentations, posters, videos, infographics and other classroom projects. Students can also use Papercut Hive for school printing services.
Together, these digital platforms help ensure that Salisbury East High School students are well supported with the technology, resources and learning tools they need to succeed.
