Subject handbook

At Salisbury East High School we’re committed to providing our students with a diverse and comprehensive curriculum that prepares them for success in their academic journey and beyond.

Our Senior and Middle School subject handbooks serve as valuable resources for students and their families, offering detailed information about the subjects offered in each learning area, including assessment details and progression pathways. Both subject handbooks outline the subject options available within each learning area.

Information about assessment methods and expectations is also provided. Flowcharts are provided to assist students in planning their academic journey effectively. The flowcharts illustrate the progression of subjects from year 7 to year 12, allowing students to understand the pathways available to them as they move through their middle and senior school years.

Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum

The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) is required for all children and young people in our school. It’s taught each year by teachers who have completed a full-day KS:CPC training course.

It teaches children to:

  • recognise abuse and tell a trusted adult about it
  • understand what touching is appropriate and inappropriate
  • understand ways of keeping themselves safe.
